Parents Corner
The Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) is scheduled every Saturday at 11 PM, after regular school hours, to discuss students’ progress and address any concerns. In addition to the weekly sessions, major PTMs are held following the announcement of results for Periodic Tests and Mid-Term Examinations. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity for parents and teachers to collaborate and support the academic growth of students.
Tips For Parents:
Create a Supportive Environment: Ensure a quiet, comfortable, and well-lit study space free from distractions.
Maintain a Routine: Encourage consistent study hours, breaks, meals, and sleep schedules to build structure and reduce anxiety.
Encourage Breaks: Promote short breaks during study sessions to help with focus and memory retention.
Provide Nutritious Meals: Fuel the brain with healthy meals and snacks; avoid excessive sugar and caffeine.
Avoid Pressure: Focus on effort, not just results. Encourage a growth mindset by celebrating progress and resilience.
Be Emotionally Available: Listen to your child’s concerns without judgment. Offer reassurance and encouragement.
Limit Screen Time: Reduce non-academic screen use to help with focus and sleep hygiene.
Model Stress Management: Show healthy coping mechanisms like breathing exercises, walks, or calm conversations.
Tips For Students:
Stick to a Study Plan: Break topics into manageable chunks and follow a daily schedule to reduce last-minute stress.
Practice Self-Care: Get enough sleep, eat well, and stay hydrated. Your body and brain need energy to perform well.
Use Active Study Techniques: Practice with flashcards, teach others, or take mock tests instead of just re-reading notes.
Exercise Regularly: Even a short walk or stretch can help clear your mind and boost your mood.
Stay Positive: Use affirmations or positive self-talk to build confidence.
Avoid Comparisons: Focus on your own progress, not what others are doing.
Ask for Help: Don’t hesitate to reach out to teachers, parents, or peers if you’re stuck.
